The Montclair Art Musuem recently hosted a vibrant demonstration during Montclair Early Music's second annual community festival. This ticketed event aimed to raise funds for educational scholarships benefiting youth students in early music.

Attendees were treated to live performances that spanned the Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque eras, courtesy of Montclair Early Music, along with a delightful showcase by the children's recorder ensemble, DragonBards. The festival also featured captivating acts such as jugglers, storytellers, and belly dancers, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.

A bustling Market area featured various vendors offering handcrafted treasures from period artisans, alongside food trucks and a brewery that crafted a special “Medieval Fest Ale” for the occasion. Initially, 300 attendees were expected, but the event exceeded all expectations, drawing a crowd of over 900!

The setup by Acre was nothing short of impressive, featuring an archery range with Will the dragon as the target,

an arbalist for spectators to admire, a wax seal stamp booth, and a Fiber arts station.

An information booth provided QR codes and flyers, allowing prospective members to join our mailing list for updates on future Acre events.

Nearby, a face painting station and a kids’ craft area kept the little ones entertained. In the afternoon, Countess Catherine Fionne led several dance sessions inside the venue.

The highlight of the day was the fighting arena, where Acre's heavy weapons fighters showcased an exhilarating tournament, drawing cheers from the crowd, rivaled only by the excitement of children eager to “Fight a Knight.”
